The launch of Loughborough's £15M Sports Technology Institute called for a timeless and vibrant identity that translated seamlessly from interior décor, digital and print media. We sourced specialists in bespoke display, lighting, AV and cabinet making and hired cherry pickers to install the 3-storey perspex figures. We projected dynamic graphics onto a plasma screen bank to convey Loughborough's global impact in sports technology and world-beating performance.

The building is used by multiple audiences including prospective students, leading sports brands and in addition to governing bodies.

INNOVATIVE APPROACH, PAINSTAKING IN THE DETAIL

When Loughborough University launched its £15M Sports Technology Institute in 2008, we needed a striking concept that reflected our world leading reputation.

De Facto created a dynamic identity that worked brilliantly across so many applications.

From the giant acrylic figures they installed with a 3-tonne cherry picker to the film shown at the launch event, De Facto were always innovative in their approach and painstaking in their attention to detail.

Two years on, the identity continues to resonate with students and global sports brands alike.
